THE STONE QUARRY
The stone quarry south of town on Franklin Street has a long history. Numerous owners, workmen, and teamsters have hauled and loaded the crushed stone for our village streets. For the Home Coming of 1907, the city macadamized some streets with limestone. (Library; Fran Achen Collection.)
Whitewater Limestone Inc. is a privately-owned stone supplier, serving Walworth County and the surrounding area. In addition to delivering, we'll load anything from a 5-gallon pail, all the way up to Dump Trucks and Semi Dump Trailers.
Open from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Monday through Friday during the spring, summer, & fall seasons; and by appointment during the winter season.
